For the last few weeks I’ve been getting familiar with gouache. I like gouache because I can do little studies like these in my sketchbook, in the TV room with my dog nearby, instead of holed up at the back of the house where my oils are set up. I can do one a day and, even with the failures, it’s gratifying to see the sketchbook filling up.
