I stalk my friends and family for pictures of faces in different kinds of light. Here I started with one of those pictures and compared it to a reference sculpture, then changed the light on the sculpture and tried to translate that back to the original face. I suppose animation artists do this sort of thing all the time, but I’m just getting started with it.
