This week figure studies in color.
First of the landscapes for my landscape painting class. This scene is not far from my home in Oakland, CA. I wanted to see how far I could take a red and green palette–we don’t really have pink sidewalks.
Nupastel, playing with edges and overlaps.
This week it’s eyes, studies painted from sculptures by Bernini and Michelangelo.
This week it’s hand studies, one a day for 7 days. I’m on day 6. Interesting how the approach changes when it’s one a day, instead of six in one day.
